Of course, as webdesigner one of the most grateful, time-consuming and challenging pieces is one’s own website. I’ve gone through quite a few iterations, as you can see here. I tried to learn from my mistakes in each version, incorporating new insights, techniques and of course changing requirements. I’ve always tried to experiment with various colour schemes, layout variations and typography, in varying degrees of succes. Still, each version is a reflection of my best capabilities as web designer at certain points in time.

Website design and Drupal implementation for the European research project IMPACT of the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. Since the site required multiple languages and discussion fora, it was built in Drupal.

Website design and Drupal implementation of the Match-id website. Match-id is a recruitment and assessment company which focuses on personal and cultural ‘matching’ of company and employer.

Another partnership with Henk Baetsen is the new Spereco website. Henk provided the design, while I did the Drupal implementation and theming. Since Spereco has a fairly extensive product catalog, we decided to use the taxonomy module for organizing all products in various facets. The taxonomy_menu module is used to provide a fly-out menu of the main product categories, while product qualities are searchable through the use of the taxonomy browser module. We also made heavy use of the image module for photo management.
I even created a Drupal module specifically for this website, which is quite a feat for a non-programmer such as myself.

Edupaper intends to increase the use of e-paper in education by providing hardware, software and consultancy services. To help in this green goal, I created the website design and the Drupal theme.

The Slovakian Senza Limiti had a design and Drupal website for their new portal, but nobody who could implement the Drupal theme. On a tight deadline I brushed up the design and created the Drupal theme. The owner of the website, Tobias Ratschiller (author of several PHP books and the popular PhpMyAdmin), has written a Drupal casestudy on the Drupal website.

I built the Moulin Blues festival website in Drupal, which allows the oganizers to maintain it themselves. Thanks to clever use of CSS, it’s possible to easily update the design to the new visual theme each year, which is created by Henk Baetsen
